Hi everyone,

The family of David S. Smith have decided to begin a tradition to honor his legacy (on his 70th birthday - November 19th) and start a donation pool for the community and environmental organizations he spent so much time helping build and support for others to enjoy.

Dave passed away in late 2021, but left behind an immeasurable impression on many with his dedication to responsible enjoyment of the outdoors, and love for supporting community organizations like the Clayton Youth Commission. This year, we are starting a donation for the CYC - a local organization that introduces countless kids, their families, and even new coaches to the passion of team sports.

Dave begin his decades-long involvement in the CYC as a coach for his 3 sons, Will, Ian, and Luke, who developed an early, and lifelong love of soccer, which they still participate in recreationally as adults today! Dave also spent time as a director, dedicating many hours alongside a long list of admirable volunteers to create an inclusive and and organized pathway for kids to see the value in team sports. Without the selfless dedication of these volunteers, small communities like Clayton would never be able to experience the joy that I, my brothers, our friends, and countless others get to experience.

Please consider donating, in Dave's memory, any amount to help provide resources for the Youth Commission to continue creating opportunities for kids to enjoy their early years in team sports as much as we did.
