Honduras Surgical Program
Donation protected
Operation Smile is a global nonprofit organization that provides all medical services free of charge for children suffering with cleft conditions in developing countries. In case you are unaware, a cleft is a gap in the lip or palate that proposes difficulties speaking, feeding, and particularly, living confidently in the presence of others. As a student volunteer, I have attended two international student-leadership conferences and will be traveling to Honduras for an upcoming surgical program in February. While I am in Honduras, I will be interacting with patients and families, teaching them basic hygienic practices, and assisting a team of specialized medical professionals as they bless these children with the opportunity to smile for the first time. I am looking to fundraise money for my travels as well as donations for the families. If you cannot donate money towards this cause, I strongly encourage you all to advocate for Operation Smile and educate your community regarding the life-changing benefits it has on the world.
