Homies for Shakes!

This is a GoFundMe for Shakes (Jason Hostetler) to help cover temporary costs of housing.

Shakes has to leave his current digs by this weekend (March 25th), and his Section 8 housing hasn’t kicked in yet - and right now he has no idea where he and Spicoli the Wonder Cat can go.

While my husband and I can take care of one week of a hotel, we’re hoping we can find a better solution, and that someone knows of a room where Shakes can stay that’s a bit more accessible than the motel by the airport, which is $400/week (which he would have to Uber from to get to his job at 5 Spot).

And while we can take care of one week (maybe a bit longer), we may need help moving forward since he’s not entirely sure when the Section 8 housing will kick in (he only knows he’s at the ‘top of the list’ due to his disability, Cerebral Palsy), so we don’t know how long he’ll need a hotel/temporary housing for.

I know Shakes has a lot of love in this town, and has helped *so many* through his own fundraiser, which raises funds to buy motorized spoons for those with Cerebral Palsy. So we set up this GoFundMe to help get the word out!
