Homeware for Hafan

Donation protected
Hafan is a hostel for homeless, young parents which is based in Cardiff.  It's owned and managed by Cadwyn Housing Association.  The parents at the hostel survive on less than £500 a month from Universal Credit.

Hafan featured in a recent documentary called 'Young Parents Hostel' which was shown on BBC Wales.  Following the airing of the documentary, the staff at Cadwyn Housing were inundated with messages from the general public who wanted to know how they could help the parents and their babies at the hostel.  We discussed this with the Support Workers at the hostel, who told us that the residents really struggle with having enough money to make their flats homely.  Many don't have curtains for the windows, bedding, dinnerware, cushions or pots and pans to cook with.

This fund will be used to help supply the residents with the items they need.  Items that they will be able to choose themselves.

We've been overwhelmed by the kind words and offers of support from strangers for the residents.  We can't thank you enough for helping to make someone's life that little bit easier.
