Our North Shore community is hurting.
My name is Amber Rexford and I am trying to help raise funds for those impacted by the storm that affected my town of Waialua on the North Shore of O'ahu. The recent Kona Low storm brought devastating floods and destruction to our beloved hometown of Waialua and neighboring Haleʻiwa. In a matter of hours, families lost their homes, cars were swept away, and local businesses—many of them family-owned for generations—suffered severe damage.
This isn’t just about property. It’s about people. It’s about neighbors who now have nowhere to sleep, workers who have lost their livelihoods, and a community trying to recover from something that feels overwhelming.
I want to help raise funds to provide immediate relief to those affected—helping families secure temporary shelter, replace essential belongings, and support local businesses as they begin to rebuild. Funds raised will be donated to the Hawaii Community Foundation to support disaster relief efforts. While our intention is to support North Shore communities like Waialua and Haleʻiwa, final distribution will be managed by HCF.
If you’re able to give, any amount truly makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign helps to
reach others who can.
Mahalo for your support, your kindness, and for standing with the North Shore during this difficult time.
