Urgent: Help Former NHS Worker Sarah Jane & Her Two Neurodiverse Children After Eviction

My name is Sarah Jane Ryan, and I am reaching out to our community in a state of absolute desperation. For many years, I dedicated my life to taking care of others through my extensive history of working for the NHS and supporting our local community. Throughout my life, I have never asked for help—I have always been the one giving it. Now, my family is facing a devastating crisis, and I am terrified for our future.

Exactly one week ago, we were evicted from temporary accommodation by Thanet District Council. Throughout this incredibly harrowing process, we have been treated completely despicably by the council, showing a total lack of empathy or care for our situation. Making things even harder, I have no local family support to turn to. I am completely on my own trying to manage this crisis.

I am a mother to two children with neurodiverse issues, and this sudden upheaval—compounded by the council's awful treatment and our isolation—has been incredibly traumatising for them. Children with neurodiversity desperately need routine, stability, and a safe, predictable environment. Instead, we have been uprooted, discarded, and left to fend for ourselves with nowhere to go.

I am urgently raising funds to secure stable, private housing and purchase the essential white goods we need to rebuild our lives from scratch. Trying to find a deposit for a private tenancy and buying basic household appliances—like a fridge to store fresh food, a washing machine, and a cooker—is completely impossible to afford on my own without a family network to lean on.

It is incredibly painful to admit how desperate our situation has become, but as a mother, I have run out of options. I need to get my children back into a safe, functional, and dignified home as quickly as possible.
