Homeless Prevention and shelter

Hello everyone, My name is Kenyatta Rucker and I’m the founder of She Wins Totally Inc. a nonprofit organization. That helps to empower women and young adults. Assisting them to gain resources and sustainability. This is new for me to ask for donations; however, I’ve come to realize that homelessness is an issue far bigger than I can tackle alone. I’m here needing your assistance to support our goal of helping single mothers facing homelessness by providing them a safe space to get on their feet. I know it’s a huge ask. We’re attempting to acquire a multi-family property to house multiple families. Over the past few years our organization has been doing things secretly out of our own pockets. I say secretly because we don’t exploit anyone we’ve assisted. If someone finds out it’s because that person mentioned it. This has been a blessing and a curse because we want to do more but we’re limited. I’ve come to realize that it takes the community to assist the community. It’s very disheartening to see a trying working woman get the short end of the stick because the system isn’t designed for the middle class. I just have a passion to help because I’ve been there before and know how it feels to need help and everywhere you turn you either make too much for assistance or you’re not eligible for help due to the guidelines that maybe set. Leaving someone feeling disheartened, discouraged and falling deeper into a hole. I’m asking you all to help us meet our goal. We can’t do it without your support.
