Update: 1/26/23 Donations have stopped, so effective today, this fundraiser is closed. However, here are some things that were accomplished thanks to all of you.

1.) We were able to get Jim shelter up to today. He was out of the brutal cold that occurred around Christmas as well as the storm that passed through last night.
2.) We were also able to purchase him
a.) a brand new pair of boots
b.) a trimmer for his beard and some mouthwash.
3.) In addition, he was also able to get some Christmas gifts for his children and spend time with them by taking them to the movies and to get something to eat.

Many of you also brought him much needed toiletries, clothes and food or provided information for resources that are available. I know he is very thankful for all the help he has received.

Thank you to everyone who donated. May God bless you all.

I'm fundraising for a homeless man in East Brunswick, NJ. This man's name is Jim. He was extremely helpful to my daughter, when she was involved in a very minor car accident. He was on the side of the road and witnessed what happened.

The driver refused to exchange information with my daughter. Jim prevented the driver from leaving and called the police. My daughter called me and I arrived on the scene. He was so kind and waited for the police to arrive to give his statement. My daughter later told me that he made her feel safe.

After we left, my daughter and I put together some money to give to Jim, and I paid for a few nights at a local motel for him. I was so thankful for his willingness to help my daughter and it was very cold - I couldn't just leave him on the street after he was so helpful to my daughter.

We are supposed to be getting a bad storm around Thursday this week and it breaks my heart knowing this kind soul is out there. The total I am looking to raise would be enough to keep Jim in the motel to April.

There is a storm coming just before Christmas. At the least, I'm hoping to raise enough (for now) to get him back into the motel during the storm. Unfortunately, I do not have the money to cover it. So am hoping the community can come together to help Jim. If a room with 2 beds is available, Jim will gladly share the room with the other homeless man in East Brunswick.

Would you please help?
