I'm AL-khatib M Mahmoud from south Gaza, a place where every day is a struggle to survive due to ongoing genocide. I can't practice my career due to the ongoing aggression in Gaza. I have never been out of Gaza and have never considered living in another country despite living under the siege for more than 17 years that is causing unemployment, starvation and destruction in all aspects of life. Before all of this began, I had dreams, life and an amazing house where I lived with 25 members of my family. It sadly got bombed by the Israeli occupation forces even though we are innocent civilians.

Since then, my whole family and I have become homeless, our lives have been destroyed as well as my family's shop which was the only source of money that we had. After many horrifying days we had to flee to the south for the sake of saving our lives and now we are living in tents. My brother, Ismail, who once filled our days with laughter, no longer finds joy in his art. He used to draw vibrant pictures of our family every day, but now, he's lost his interest in drawing, as he doesn't feel any longer safe, and he doesn't feel that he belongs anywhere. My sister, Rahaf, just two years old is suffering from malnutrition.

It breaks my heart to hear her ask for milk and not be able to provide it.

We're in a desperate situation and urgently need to raise $15,000 to help my family leave Gaza and rebuild our lives in a safer environment. This amount will cover half of the evacuation costs for our entire family the total of which will $5,000 for each adult and $5,000 for both children.
