Homeless Give Street Friend (Kd) The Worst Haircut

I started growing my hair 3 years ago, with the intention to get the worst haircut possible, the idea formed to have it cut for charity. Earlier this year, I decided on a homeless charity, primarily because of the challenging circumstances we find ourselves in, but also because I have experienced mental health problems, addiction and homelessness. I have however been extremely lucky to have a great support network of family and friends to help me get through my dark times and there are those in need of friends out there in our city, this is why I have chosen all the money to go to, "Street Friend of Aberdeen Homeless".


The homeless have slid almost into obscurity as this pandemic spreads. Not just in the eyes of the governments and councils, but also the people who would have had the time and inclination to help. The impact of the restrictions on the lives of ordinary caring people has forced thoughts of charitable support and contribution way down their priorities list.


My hair is being cut by the homeless with absolutely no hairdressing experience, and all money from this "worst haircut in the world" is to go to Street Friends of Aberdeen to help finance the creation of a working kitchen in their (safety net) building. They have had so many setbacks this last year with the covid restrictions having a devastating effect on so many of the food donations they rely on, and the construction of a kitchen would simply be an amazing addition to the wonderful and selfless work these people do.


I do have a tendency to 'go on a bit' when I am passionate about something, but I would simply ask you to laugh, enjoy the sight and please donate! :D
