As many of you know I’m Brittney and our house was completely destroyed by hurricane Ian. Insurance finally told us today that our insurance claim was denied. Our family like other families didn’t have flood insurance as we weren’t in a flood zone. Fema didn’t give us much and we don’t qualify for Volusia Disaster Funding. I’ve never in my life asked for handouts or help but today I’m asking for help. Even if it’s a couple extra pieces of wood or nails. Anything will help. The kids and I literally have nothing left but the little bit of clothes we were able to get out. Only thing left salvageable was the kids shower, toilet and the refrigerator did turned on. My truck was also totaled.

We need, flooring, baseboards, kitchen cabinets, appliances, bedding, mattresses, sinks, vanities, paint, outlets, garage door,

hardy board, doors, a complete bathroom and 3 windows. The front main window was broken from us exiting the house during the storm. The front door is only able to be locked by dead bolt as the front door has completely swelled and the frame needs replaced as well. Again I’ve never been one to ask for help. I’ve built this all on my own for my children and me. I’m not sure how much everything will cost so apologize now for that lack of knowledge. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated.
