Hello, this is Kristy, Tina’s daughter, I wanted to share this with all of our family and friends….
My parents lost their home in a horrible fire this evening, June 5th, in Lake Havasu City, AZ. They have lived there for 18+ years.
A neighboring trailer caught fire, and the winds quickly spread the flames to their house. You’re never really prepared for a reality like this.
My mom was on her way home from work, and my dad was inside the house. He had no idea what was happening until a neighbor came pounding on the door and told him he needed to get out immediately. He was in such distress that he left with only the clothes on his back and the sandals on his feet. We are so incredibly thankful for that neighbor.
We thank God for their safety and that no one was hurt. The reality of losing everything is devastating. All of their belongings are gone, including precious keepsakes and sentimental items from my grandma.
Right now, they are staying with friends. They are still in shock, trying to process what has happened. First thing tomorrow they will go to the pharmacy and see about getting medication replaced. If you call or text them please be patient if they don’t answer right away, my dad’s phone was lost in the fire. We are reaching out on their behalf to ask for prayers, support, and any advice from anyone who has gone through something like this. If you feel led to help in any way, whether through a donation, sharing resources, or simply keeping them in your thoughts, we would be so grateful.
Please keep my parents in your prayers as they begin to navigate the difficult days ahead.
