Home for Mbonge and family

Hello, all you amazing humans!! My name is Dawn, and this fundraiser is for an incredible family in Zambia. I had the privilege of meeting them in October 2021 while on a humanitarian trip. I fell in love with this family immediately. They are beautiful, generous, humble, hardworking, kind and loving people. Their current living situation is a small 300-square-foot cinderblock square; they have no running water, share a communal outhouse and have to retrieve water from a community well a few blocks away.

Mbonge, the father, is a talented tailor. Janet, is at home with her kids and cleans homes when she finds the opportunity.

Sydney, the oldest son, works 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, makes $60 a month, and is very grateful to have a work opportunity to contribute to his family's basic needs, food, clothing and shelter.

They are very deserving of any help we can offer; 100% of donations will go to building them a home, digging a well and solar pump so that they will have running water in their home for the first time in their lives.

I have family that lives there and will help facilitate the building and finances; any donation is very much appreciated and will be graciously accepted by this wonderful family
