Help Us Finish Building Dad’s House and Bring Him Home
Support for Ken and Lisa Newton
Our dad, Ken Newton, has been in the hospital with a condition called Hydrocephalus since March 8th and spent 19 days in the ICU recovering from brain surgery before being transferred to multiple medical rehabilitation facilities. It’s been an incredibly tough time for our family, but we’re staying strong and doing everything we can to support his recovery and plan for his return home.
Before this unexpected health crisis, my parents were in the middle of building their new home. They didn’t have a construction crew or big savings just a vision, hard work, and the determination to build something of their own. A friend helped frame the shell, and over time, they’ve been working on it themselves. Now, with Dad’s health declining, the home is unfinished and the window to complete it before he returns is quickly closing.
Anyone who knows our dad knows he’s the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to help someone else. He’s spent his life working hard, taking care of his family, and doing whatever he could to support those around him. He’s kind, humble, and proud, so asking for help isn’t easy. But right now, we need it more than ever.
We’re asking for support in two ways:
1. Financial Contributions – Any donation, big or small, will go toward purchasing materials and helping them get back on their feet financially.
2. Skilled Assistance – If you or someone you know has experience in plumbing, insulation, flooring, or truss work, we would be so grateful for your time, labor, or even guidance. The trusses need to be redone to make the structure safer, and these are tasks we can’t do alone.
Our mom has been by Dad’s side every single day since he was admitted. She’s exhausted but trying to stay strong, and doing everything she can. We just want to give them both a peaceful, safe place to come home to.
Please consider donating or sharing. Every bit helps, and every act of kindness means the world to us.
With love and gratitude,
The Newton Family
