Holy Mackerel gives back to the community

“Holy Mackerel Beers Gives Back” is our quest in helping those in need during this unforeseen COVID-19 pandemic.

 

            Holy Mackerel has not only been feeding “In the biz” (hospitality industry) who lost their jobs and first responders who risk their health every day for free, but is also working with the local elementary schools and organizations in delivering dinner trays and additionally helping with groceries to families who no longer have the free lunch, breakfast, and childcare that the schools were providing. Our objective is to ensure that these young children and their families DO NOT go to bed hungry. Unfortunately, this dilemma will continue until the participating parents start receiving aid as well as the childcare that is necessary for full time work.

As of right now we have been coordinating with Wilton Manors Elementary and BBBS (Big Brother Big Sister) in weekly donations for over a month now and we have perfected a system. However, this doesn’t even scratch the surface. There are so many more local children who need this program and quickly.

 If you are able to, we ask that you donate in order to continue providing this service and expand our reach to help more families and young children eat while things slowly get back to “normal”.
