Holt family needs our help!

On Tuesday, our nation came together for a similar cause, driven by an entirely different event. Kids should be SAFE in school. On Thursday, our friends sent their son off to what should have been a normal high school day, but ended their night in the ICU with their student fighting for their life.

 

Payton recently celebrated his 15th birthday. On Thursday an issue in class spilled over into a conflict in the hallway. While details are being kept close due to an ongoing investigation, Peyton suffered head trauma on Holt's campus and needed medical care.

 

His condition quickly declined and he was unable to breath for himself. Payton was intubated and had surgery for his head trauma, which included a fractured skull and a brain bleed. The significance of his condition left his parents praying their baby would survive the night.

 

Fortunately, Payton's fighting sprirt seems to be holding strong and he has recently been extubated.

 

Our community has rallied to support this family and the issues that are deeply rooted in our district. This fundraiser will help to support Payton and his family as they go forward and navigate the unknown.

 

We also encourage our community to speak up against student violence in our district. Help make sure no student, family, or staff is in this situation again.
