Holly Stevens football tournament
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Matt and along with friends of mine Sam Willis and Rob Andrews we organise annual football tournaments to raise money for good causes.
This year we are raising money for Holly Stevens, a local lady who has both bone and blood cancer. This is a little bit about Holly, from Holly:
Hi my name is Holly and am 24 a little bit of my back story I had a blood test which was discovered that my blood levels were not normal which led me to have a bone marrow biopsy I got the results back unfortunately I was diagnosed with polycythemia rubra Vera jak 2+ which is a rare blood cancer, after having treatment for 4 years with venesection(pint of blood taken off) every 3 weeks until my veins couldn’t take anymore, they had to do another bone marrow biopsy as my symptoms were worsening, and unfortunately in 2021 I got told the bad news that my blood cancer has mutated to my bones and get told I have myelofibrosis grade 2/3 unfortunately it’s incurable no matter what treatment I have done, everyday is a huge struggle, currently on strong chemotherapy tablets that are making my body weak but I keep fighting everyday, I have a bucket list I would love to compete before my time comes whenever that may be, I also suffer with loads of other health problems and currently under 8 different specialists and spend a lot of my time in and out of hospitals, but even with all my health issues I still get up and try and smile everyday,
The tournaments are 6 a side tournaments, with a maximum of eight players, costing just £5 each player. Please note, this is none refundable, so please double check the dates prior to payment.
The tournament will be held on the 26th of July at Magnus academy, Newark, starting at 9.30am (please be there at 9am for briefing at 9.15).
Please comment on your donation with your team name.
On the day there will be bouncy castles, food and other things so please bring the family along.
