Hiking for Freedom: Trekking Machu Picchu to Change Lives
As we take on the breathtaking challenge of hiking Machu Picchu in Peru, we are not just climbing for adventure—we are climbing for impact. Every step we take is a step towards hope, restoration, and transformation for communities around the world.

Hiker's Bio:
For over three decades, I've been blessed with a wonderful marriage, and we have three beautiful daughters. Our family's journey was made even more special through an international adoption, which has been a blessing for our entire family.

In the summer of 2024, long before I had been invited to hike Machu Picchu, I was processing some things in my childhood. I was asking God to redeem the things that had happened to me. Even though I was raised by the most amazing Christian parents, I experienced continual physical and emotional abuse at the hands of someone else. While my experiences are much different than children who suffer at the hands of traffickers, I do know what it is like to feel hunted, voiceless, and afraid. I pray that God will use this Freedom Challenge to redeem the painful experiences of my childhood and to bring freedom to many children. It is my honor to stand as an intercessor and to join this Freedom Challenge, knowing that every step forward will break the chains of bondage.
