Holistic Community Acupuncture & Wellness is a 501c3 founded by Dr. Krystal Kinnunen.

Our Mission: is to make the world a better place by bridging the gap in the health disparities among marginalized populations in the healthcare system by offering affordable Acupuncture sessions and equity scholarships. We believe in equity for everyone, the inclusion of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, as well as anyone who is affected by low income. We also extend affordable holistic care to teachers, first responders, and frontline workers.

Our Vision: We are known for being a safe and inclusive space that supports people in living inspired healthy lives.

We are raising funds for the start-up cost of our non-profit, which includes the need for equipment such as chairs, blankets, needles, cups, and equity scholarships. These donations will also expand our capacity for community acupuncture in larger spaces in Asheville, NC, and beyond.

Breaking Down the Costs: $5,000 will be going towards the education, lawyer, and filing fees that were necessary to start the nonprofit and $2,000 will be going towards all of the necessary supplies and equity seats.

About the Founder: Dr. Krystal Kinnunen

Dr. Krystal is certified through the National Certification Commission For Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Traditional Oriental Medicine. Krystal’s 4-year Master’s program emphasized acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and western biomedicine. Her succeeding doctoral program focused on deepening skills in the integrative healthcare system using a pluralistic model emphasizing pain management, preventive medicine, fertility, and obstetrics. Dr. Krystal is passionate about providing high-quality, intuitive healthcare for all individuals.
