Dearest Friends and Family, The holidays are fast approaching and Heather, Ali and I are hoping to organize a very special Christmas surprise for a few children that attend Audubon School in the Lomita Village area of San Diego. We are again asking for your generosity and kindness in creating a magical holiday season for these children.
This year due to the Covid-19 pandemic we have decided to focus on a group of kids and their siblings who are living closer to home. The children that are receiving gifts this year were nominated by their teachers at Audubon School K-8 which is in the San Diego City School District. At Audubon 100% of the students are on free or reduced lunch and breakfast and due to the pandemic the children are attending school online only. It has been a very difficult year for the students, their families, and the teachers at Audubon.
This year participating in giving these kids the Christmas of their dreams will be even easier than the previous two years. We have created wish lists for all the kids that will be receiving gifts on Amazon and Target. Monies from the Go Fund Me Campaign will go toward purchasing items on the wish lists.
Please feel free to share this far and wide to anyone who is looking for a way to help their San Diego community during this trying time and thank you in advance for your support and kindness. Together we can make a big difference!

Dear Donor Families,
I wanted to share some general information with you about some of the families you are helping this year. Out of respect, I will keep the families anonymous.
The families you are helping this year for Christmas, are families that have been chosen by teachers. The families work very hard to provide just the essentials for their children so life is more enjoyable. For some, this may mean parents having more than one job, housing other relatives and their children, grandparent(s) caring for and raising multiple grandchildren, etc. Whatever their individual circumstances are, what all of these families have in common, is that despite whatever challenges they may face, they continue to value education for their children, continue to work very hard, and are simply wonderful, kind and grateful human beings. Thank you for helping make this Christmas season very special for our selected families.
With humble gratitude,
Leanne Samek
