Happy Holidays, everyone!
We ran this fundraiser in 2016, 2018, and 2019 raising $3,500, $6,000, and $8,200 respectively. We’re excited to focus our efforts on running this fundraiser again and setting an even more ambitious goal: $10,000!
This higher goal will help serve so many more people. Your contributions will go toward providing local non-profit organizations with the in-kind donations they need to serve our community. We will also be creating care packages to hand out to individuals facing homelessness.
Here is more information about the three organizations we’re partnering with:
- A Bay Area-based women and children’s domestic abuse shelter (the name needs to stay anonymous for their protection)
- Hamilton Families, a service provider to families experiencing homelessness, with carefully designed programs to prevent homelessness, provide shelter and stability, return families to permanent housing and support the well-being of children experiencing homelessness
- Swords to Plowshares, a community-based not-for-profit organization that provides needs assessment and case management, employment and training, housing, and legal assistance to approximately 3,000 veterans in the Bay Area each year
The care packages will consist of items that not everyone has the luxury of using on a daily basis, such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, hand sanitizer, bandages, q-tips, floss, lotion, feminine hygiene products, and more.
BUT, we need your help. Every dollar counts. We’d really appreciate it if you’d share the message with your friends and family members. The more awareness we can bring to this campaign, the bigger impact we can make in our own community!
