Hello! My name is Nik and I run a small mentoring group. As of late, one of my members has fallen on some difficult times and is in need of community support. I know people love drama and tea, unfortunately however, there’s none to be found here. Just a hard working person who, through a series of events beyond their control, needs some help to maintain while a new opportunity is about to start. I do realize that a lot of people ask for financial support for others, only to use that for themselves, so I welcome any and all questions about the matter. I will be as forthcoming as I can be without exposing this person to the unneeded scrutiny that comes with situations like this. All funds raised will be used for temporary housing, plus travel to and from a new job that is about to start in the coming week. The goal is set so as to cover two weeks of housing, with any extra going towards uber/lifts to work, as there is no public transit nearby. By that point they will have generated a paycheck and can begin to rebuild. The group itself has done what it can to help already and now we are extending that to the community at large for any support that can be given.
