Holden McInerny's Eagle Project

Hi, I'm Holden McInerny and I'm working to earn my Eagle Scout rank. One of the last things I need to complete is my Eagle Scout Project. I have planned my project and I am raising money to pay for the materials of the project.

For my project I will be improving the learning gardens at two elementary schools in disadvantaged areas of Long Beach, Bret Harte Elementary and Edison Elementary. The Long Beach school district works with an organization called Ground Education to build garden beds at elementary schools. The garden beds act as an outdoor classroom to teach kids about growing plants and food.

I will be installing 2 sheds for storing tools and learning materials, improving the gardens where the sheds will sit, and building stepping stone paths at both schools. I am raising money to pay for the sheds, gravel, stepping stones and other materials.
