Hey all, it's Docia, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my dad, Mark, who recently suffered a massive stroke that has left the entire left side of his body paralyzed. He is currently in the ICU in Berkeley, Our world has been turned upside down.

Our dad has always been the backbone of our family — a hard-working, dedicated man who spent his life driving truck to provide for us. Whether it was long hours on the road or going the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of, he never complained.

Driving was not only his job, it was part of his identity — a source of pride, stability, and connection. Now, in the blink of an eye, he can no longer work. Doctors have told us he will be in the hospital for at least a month, and his road to recovery is expected to be long and challenging. We don’t know what the future holds yet, but we do know he won’t be able to return to the career he loved.

This sudden loss of income has hit our family hard. With ongoing medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and basic living expenses piling up, we’re reaching out to our community — to friends, family, and kind strangers — for help. Every little bit counts and will go toward supporting his recovery and helping us stay afloat during this difficult time.
