My name is Moataz, and I am 24 years old, from Gaza, and this is my story. Two years ago, on January 28, 2020, I traveled to Germany to get a job, a trip whose goal was to pave the way for moving toward my dreams of completing my life and building my future. I had a ticket back to Gaza to visit my family. But since in the last almost 11 months, since October, that has been impossible. The war began in my city of Gaza, and in the blink of an eye I found myself far from my family and I had no idea what I would do. All of this was under fear and anxiety that did not leave my mind or heart for the life of my family. I feel safe, but I cannot live with the idea that I could lose my family at any moment.

In the blink of an eye, my family found itself displaced in the south of the Gaza Strip, far from our damaged home due to the continuous bombing around it. In this war, my family lost many of its members, our friends and colleagues, and my father is a man who suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes, who needs care and attention and has no access to his insulin.

I seek your humanity, hoping that we will all join hands, each in a little or a lot, to help me move my family to safety, as they live in bitterness every day from fear, terror, and anxiety, in addition to the spread of diseases due to the lack of health care, not to mention the severe psychological

damage they have suffered.

The entire amount above will be used to pay travel expenses through the Rafah land crossing. Initially, crossing the Egyptian border was approximately 5,000 euros per adult and 2,500 euros per child under the age of sixteen, it has since doubled and now no one can cross for under 10,000 euros. My family consists of my elderly father and mother, my brothers and their wives and children, my sister and her husband, and my college-aged sister whose university was demolished.
