Tony is an amazing boy who came into our lives a few years ago. He was brought to Canada as a young boy and was struggling in the home he was in and needed help, We got to know Tony and realized what a sweet spirit this boy had. We decided we would do what we could to help him. When he was seeking refuge from unsafe situations we stepped in and for the last few years have been able to provide him with a safe home, security and family who care deeply. Tony has been here on student visas and we have been financially managing to keep up until now. Tony has just graduated from high school, and to move forward with his dreams and to stay in the country we need to get him a permanent residence status. He has very few memory’s of Kenya and no safe place to go there. The situation he is in is a product of circumstances beyond his control and because of his unique situation he falls through many cracks in the systems that are in place. Tony would like nothing more than to continue here, and become fully Canadian. We have a lawyer who is willing to help us with this process and we are hoping to raise some money to help with the residence application fees and the lawyer fees.
Tony is kind, caring, passionate about music, great at skateboarding, willing to work hard, has many friends, and has found many people willing to step up. We have created this page as a vessel to facilitate that support.
This journey has been emotionally and financially challenging for all of us, especially Tony, and we are grateful for any support. Thank you for anything you choose to share, it is a blessing.
