Help a Queer Trans Maker Heal
A beloved maker in our creative community is facing an overwhelming crisis after being struck in a car accident while on foot. The injuries are severe and continuing to unfold. They are experiencing significant trauma to their muscles, connective tissue, spine, and internal organs. Blood loss from organ damage is contributing to further complications, and they are in intense, ongoing pain.
Movement is extremely limited. Sensation in their hands comes and goes. They are unable to care for their basic daily needs, and recovery is expected to take six to twelve months under the best conditions.
This person is queer and trans and does not have a family of origin to fall back on. They are depleted, defeated, and desperate. They are afraid of losing housing and stability while facing a long and painful healing journey.
To protect their safety and privacy, we are not naming them here, but the need is urgent and real. This fundraiser will help cover medical costs, basic living expenses, and survival during a time when they cannot work.
If you feel moved to support but don’t have the financial means, please consider sharing this campaign. The power of community connections and care truly changes the world.
Let’s show this maker they are not alone.
