Hi I’m Niko!

Im 28, trans non-binary and work as a tattoo artist in Baltimore.

Ive been dealing with chronic hip and back pain of varying levels, at many times severe, for years. I’ve tried meds and physical therapy, but the pain always comes back.

So I have finally seen a surgeon at the recommendation of an orthopedic specialist and will be having surgery on my hip this November.

I am so grateful to have access to this care, but am very anxious about recovery as I will not be able to walk for 2 weeks and won’t be able to work for 6weeks.

Due to the physically demanding nature of my job, I am limited in how much I can work until surgery as well.

I am reaching out to my community for any and all support during this time.

I am hoping to raise enough funds to cover bills, food, rides to/from drs appointments and physical therapy (I won’t be able to drive or walk for 2 weeks), and any meds/medical supplies I’ll need to recover.

The surgery cost *should* be covered fully by insurance (they are giving some pushback)
