Restaurant employees from servers to bartenders to greeters to dishwashers to cooks are significantly affected by the spread of COVID-19 as their jobs are considered “nonessential.” Most recently, New York City has required restaurants and bars to close their doors until further notice.

New York State is considered to be in the most severe state of emergency, and many restaurant employees all across the state have received news that they have been LET GO due to the requirement for bars and restaurants to close, which means they have NO SOURCE OF INCOME.
