Hi all,
As many of you are aware, Hillston Central School recently had to cut short their excursion to Canberra due to a horrific gastro bug that quickly spread through the majority of students and staff. As you can imagine, this was extremely disappointing for everyone. Especially after such a long awaited first overnight excursion post Covid.
To make up for the missed experiences, I have created this Go Fund Me for those who would like to donate so that the students can have an opportunity at a later date to have a more enjoyable school camp experience. Living in such a remote area, these opportunities do not come around that often and the expense involved for families is significant.
Hillston is a small town with a population of 1465, 700km west of Sydney. For many of our students these excursions are their only opportunity to experience the sorts of activites these trips offer.
Families outlayed a significant cost to send their children on the trip and the purpose of this fundraiser is to take some financial pressure off for a 'make up' excursion.
We are kindly asking for your generosity to make sure these kids keep their smiles on their faces and to once again have a fun and exciting excursion in 2022- to build back their smiles and confidence!
