Hillsborough Residents Action Group

Hi. My name is Paul and I am raising funds for Hillsborough Residents Action Group. We are a community of local people who care deeply about the protection of our natural environment and the preservation of our incredible heritage. We are dedicated to doing what we can to prevent the incessant and rapidly incremental degradation of Hillsborough by the inappropriate planning approval of major building projects especially on greenfield sites. Right now we need to raise funds to engage an experienced and dedicated professional planning consultant. We are unable to access any council funding at the moment because we are only recently constituted but time is short as the wheels are in motion for planning approval of a major project beside Downshire Primary School. We need to move quickly to oppose this. All monies raised will be dedicated to this purpose and our ongoing work.Our village cannot cope with even more development. The infrastructure is under extreme pressure already. Traffic, parking,school capacity, health centre capacity,water and sewerage all show signs of being over stretched along with the gradual erosion of our natural green areas which are so important for our wellbeing. Please help us by making a donation , small or large,and we can start to push back against the planners and the developers!
