This is a very humbling ask. We realize that this is a season where money is tight for everyone. As many of you know, we are a family who loves to be outside. We moved near the Blue Ridge Mountains 2 years ago and we love to hike. We have found many mountains and trails to enjoy as a family. The hard part is Justin. We want him to enjoy our hikes as much as we do. Unfortunately, either his body hurts from being in a hiking backpack for too long or we struggle to get his wheelchair (not made for off roading) through the paths and tree roots. Even on the easiest of trails, we struggle.

We also love to go biking, and JT loves riding his bike! The problem we run into there is that we can never go on a family bike ride. Either Jake or I always has to walk with JT. We thought it would be cool if every so often we could load up and go for a family bike ride.

Insert our BIG ask for help!

We found a Josi chair, this will allow us to go hiking, hit the beach without ruining his wheelchair and convert it to a bike trailer too for those family bike rides.

The base model is $4,000 and change and with all of the inserts we would need to support JT safely and securely it adds up to $7,000.

Any amount is appreciated. We were hoping this would be his big christmas gift but we are also aware that that might not be possible this year.

We thank you from the bottom fo our hearts. We aren't very good at asking for help and since this is for his quiality of life and for fun we haven't found an agency or system that will help fund it. Insurance and medicaid are for medical needs only.
