Hiking for Hurricane Ian Relief Fund - Donate Now

As we are amid hurricane season, it is now known that Hurricane Ian will be making landfall in Florida over the coming days. Predictions pose damages that could exceed $45 Billion, making this one of the costliest storms in US history. Outside of physical damage to buildings, the infrastructure, such as energy, water, sewer, transportation and flood management systems & structures, could face major disruption. This storm will affect the lives of many people who will be displaced and will need shelter, food, and clothes.

My goal is to help raise $1,000+ to donate to the American Red Cross to help support those needs. To help raise this money, I will be hiking the Presidential Traverse on the Appalachian Trail on Saturday, October 1st. This hike is a 20-mile+ point-to-point section of the Appalachian Trail consisting of an elevation gain of 9,000 feet and nine 4,000 ft peaks. This hike is not for the faint of heart and often takes 2 to 3 days to tackle. I will be completing this hike in one day, the longest and most challenging hike I have yet to attempt for those who will endure significantly more challenging times due to Hurricane Ian.
