This year is a big one for me!
5 years since I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. In May, I will be 5 years cancer free. By Christmas 2025 I will be out of remission.
So far, I got really lucky to still remain cancer free.
Recently my pink sister Sukhy passed away. It felt like it all happened so quickly for her, she deserved more time. She did great things with Wigs For Heroes. A London based grassroots charity who do amazing things for those undergoing cancer treatment. If you followed me during my active treatment you may remember that I did some hair wrap tutorials for them! Their website is https://www.wigsforheroes.org/ if you want to peep in more detail what they do.
I want to raise money for them, in memory of Sukhy, by hiking up Ben Nevis at the end of June. The highest peak in the UK, standing at 1345m. The uphill struggle is real for me and I have heard it's quite the challenge so wish my knees good luck!!
I know I bang on about it, but the chemically induced menopause I have been in since 2020 really affects my joints. Especislly my knees, my hips and my ankles. Which usually flare up after 5/6km hiking. It total Ben Nevis is 17km up and down.
Of course, any donation is hugely appreciated! Last time I did a fundraiser it was a big motivation for me to keep going, so hopefully together we can smash my target.
Thanks so much for the support, always xx
