Our amazing EEC teachers are furloughed for the foreseeable future, and we would like to support them however we can throughout this difficult time.
Please consider donating if you can, anonymously if you’d like, in any amount you can manage. All donations will be divided equally amongst the 11 teachers across the Monkey, Chameleon, and Tiger rooms.
Thank you so much for supporting this incredible group of people. We love them, they love our kids, and we can’t wait to see them all again when the world is back to good.

For those that don't know us, Dylan, Liza, Ben, and Lauren are San Mateo Highlands residents and parents of two (formerly three) kids who go to the Early Education Center at the Highlands Recreation District each day. We know the 11 EEC teachers impacted by the furlough very well, having had a kid or three at the center daily for nearly three years now between us.
Once we wrap up our fundraising drive here, which we aim to next Sunday, April 12th, Dylan will withdraw the full amount donated from current EEC parents and any other concerned community members and distribute the proceeds evenly 11 ways to each individual teacher.
The hope is that the funds help them get through a period of time ahead that will undoubtedly be difficult on a number of fronts, but certainly on the income score given their furlough from teaching our children and being paid for that incredible service.
Dylan has personal contact information for each teacher, and will be reaching out to all of them across the Tiger, Chameleon, and Monkey classrooms in the next day to assess the best method of distributing funds. Whether Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, or a paper check, Dylan will be sure they get their donations in a timely, reliable manner.
