Hi everyone, my name is Tanisha and in the photo's you see here is my gorgeous daughter Monica.

If we can receive donations to purchase even a second-hand wheelchair vehicle it would be a dream come true. So let me tell you a shortened version of our story and why we're here. So Monica has a very rare disability called rett syndrome basically it's a mutation in the mecp2 gene and is basically only seen in females.

I am more than happy to share more insight into it if anyone wishes. But the reason we need help is, for years I have tried to get a wheelchair accessible van but have failed due to not earning enough to buy one that suits NDIS requirements. These vehicles can range from anywhere between $30,000 and over $90,000 for one that is already wheelchair modified. And even more for a brand new van that, And as Monica is almost 13 she's not getting any smaller so poor old me is gaining some bad back issues trying to transport Monica in and out of my little car, which sadly is also preventing us from getting out as a whole family. If there would be some incredible people out there that may be able to help us to gain the funds to buy a much needed wheelchair accessible van it would be an absolute blessing.
