In this profession of caring for others, it has always been on my heart to one day take part in a mission trip to volunteer my time.  I've had several times when this could've been a reality and it never came to fruition.  Last year a colleague of mine approached me with going to Haiti and due to procrastination and unpreparedness it did not come to pass.  

This year is going to be different for me.  I'm taking charge to fulfill my purpose and will be joining Nurse Tim on a mission trip to Haiti in March.  This is near and dear to me, as I will be able to utilize my skills in nursing and provide help to the people whom I share heritage and culture with.
