Hi, I’m Lyndsey and we have some lovely friends who have had a very tough time that isn’t getting any easier.

In short, their beautiful son, Cameron who has complex needs underwent an operation last year, but worryingly suffered many complications causing an extended period of hospitalisation for many months spanning over Christmas 2024 and his 16th birthday. This was an extremely stressful time for Cameron’s wonderful parents, Sarah and Alan and family.

Fast forward to present day and Cameron is out of hospital and thankfully well, but now the family are facing yet another period of stress as they were forced to return their WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle) as Mobility stated that the extended hospital stay meant they could no longer keep it

As Cameron is 16, they have also had to go through the gruelling and longwinded PIP process. This has left the family with no suitable vehicle to transport Cameron and means they are stuck in for the holidays…a time that they should be enjoying now that Cameron is out of hospital.

They have a short break booked in Scotland on the 21st August and need the use of a WAV for this time. They’ve applied for funding but nothing will be ready in time. Hiring a WAV will cost in excess of £800 and they’ll need a day before and after to ensure set up, etc.

Please, from the bottom of my heart, can you find it in your hearts to donate to this wonderful family. They NEED this break more than ever.
