Samantha first brought her son home at 13 months, and celebrated his 7th birthday this year. 

To him, she has always been Mom. 

Legally, she is his guardian (and fought hard even for that). 

She dreams of being able to guarantee long-term stability & safety for him through a legal adoption. Samantha will file this week, and has a long road ahead. 

She has already been through endless legal battles, advocating for her son and the stability he needs to thrive. As a single Mom, she has worked tirelessly to provide for him well. That has often meant working 3 or more jobs to make ends meet, each hand-selected as a healthy environment for him to join her. 

What is ahead? Lawyers, Therapists, Court Fees. It’s really, really complicated. It’s also really, really expensive. 

To say this adoption will be an uphill battle is an understatement. I dream of removing money from the long list of hurdles Samantha has ahead.
