Help my family get out of the genocide in Gaza

Donation protected
Hello supporters,

This is Alhaj family, we are survivors of the Gaza genocid - until this moment - but after half a year of a brutal war, we are no longer able to live under these harsh conditions. Destruction and bombing continue at every moment. We always wake up to the sounds of bombing, which disturbs our peaceful sleep, and the children wake up terrified in the middle of the night. In the middle of the day, when we hear the sounds of an explosion, we collapse in fear if any family member is harmed while they are outside the house. During the holy month- Ramadan-, we prepare the food but not sure whether we will eat it or one of the damned missiles will kill us. As the family became unable to provide its necessities of food and other needs.

Each member of the family has his/ her life and dreams before the war, when life was normal without any major obstacles. The father lost his job due to the aggression, and the family now mainly depends on the humanitarian aid, despite its scarcity.

Maryam and Sarah, they are no more than eight years old. At the end of August 2023, they began their school in the first and second grades. They are supposed to receive their most basic rights, which is education. They were happy at school and studied every day, took tests and got top grades. But they did not receive education since the beginning of the war, as they were displaced from northern Gaza to the south under fire. They left their clothes, books, and school uniforms behind them, and went out only with the clothes they were wearing. Their school was destroyed after it had been a shelter for the displaced people. They now go to school in order to receive UNRWA aid of food and clothing, not for studying. These children are not to blame for everything that happens. All the scenes they experienced during the war left them with fear and panic that cannot be easily treated.

Bisan, 25 years old, is a hard-working and ambitious girl. She got the first place with the first class honor in her department during her bachelor’s degree. She aspired to study a master’s degree, but the university was destroyed and the dream disappeared. Two years after graduation, she was able to get a job as an online English language teacher, but after a month of work, she lost her job and clients due to the electricity and internet outage.
On 5th March, Bisan woke up to the most terrible nightmare of her life, her close beloved friend, her children, and her mother were killed in an Israeli bombardment of their house. As a result of the force of the bomb, her friend flew to the other street. This news was a huge shock to her, leaving her into deep grief and sadness.

Qasim, who finished his high school last year, he was happy with his results and enrolled in accounting school to begin his new journey. But after two weeks, this dream was shattered due to the war outbreak and students stopped going to university.

The main goal of this campaign is traveling to Egypt, as the cost of travel is 5,000$ per person, and the family can not afford. Therefore, we ask for your help in order to get out of this genocide, continue our lives and education, achieve our dreams, overcome the trauma we have faced, and provide our basic necessities when traveling. Then, we will search for job opportunities to support ourselves. Your help means a lot for us because it will make a difference and save us to be in a safer place and not be the next number of victims. We appreciate your help and ask you to share this link with your friends, colleagues and acquaintances.
