Hester Party of 5

If you are from the Mississippi Delta, you probably know my best friend and dog rescue partner without me even mentioning her name. If you aren't, let me tell you about Sara Hester and the amazing family she has fought to keep together...and is still fighting for!

For years, Sara wanted to foster children and in January of 2021, her dream came true. Three tiny humans entered her life. The adoption process Sara went through to make sure those siblings would never be separated was long, hard and EXPENSIVE. She didn't ask for help with any of it and even turned down my offer at the time. Since then, the biological mother of the children died leaving behind one more sibling (that was born after the adoption was final). Sara has really worked to make sure her kids have the opportunity to know their baby sister. They have been able to have vacations, holidays, birthday parties and everything a family should have together over the last year. This youngest sibling belongs with her brother and sisters. She also needs Sara in the exact same way the other three did.

Sara has recently petitioned for custody of the baby of the bunch. I would NEVER have the strength to take on that kind of fight all over again but Sara loves this little girl and cares about her future. She has spent a small fortune already, cried for weeks, prayed over the entire situation relentlessly and prepared her heart for whatever the outcome may be.

As her friend and someone who loves this family beyond measure, I'm asking you to join with me to help with the legal fees involved in this custody battle and adoption process. Sara deserves it. Her three kids deserve it. And God knows, that littlest girl deserves it. I cannot imagine being a single mother of three fighting for the happiness and future of a fourth child on my own. I want Sara to know she is not alone in this fight and there's an entire community applauding her love for these children. Please pray specifically for God's will to be done, Sara's mental and emotional strength and the impact all of this is already having on all four of the children involved. I hope you will help.
