"I never thought I would be able to live without my mother, especially at such a young age. The feeling of not being able to talk to her every day, get her advice, or vent to her about daily life is something I will never recover from. To say she was my everything, is an understatement. She was my rock, the glue to our family and my best friend. She never knew what was coming, she never had to chance to say goodbye, never got to meet my husband and will never get to meet her future grandchildren.
December 12th, 2010 I received a phone call at 4am from my sister so hysterical that I couldn’t even understand her. My dad had just woken up to my mother who had silently passed away in her sleep to a massive heart attack. From that moment, my life would forever change. The one person I wanted to call and cry to was no longer there. It has been really hard, but I have somehow managed to make it through this and, I believe, came out a stronger person. I know that my mom is proud of me for living on, but never forgetting. I think about her every day at numerous occasions, but my choice was to keep my head up high and know that my best friend once on this earth is now my best friend in heaven watching down, protecting me and is smiling down knowing I am happy. "
