Hero arm for Lacey Fund

This is my 12 year old daughter Lacey, she was born missing her lower left limb. We found out during the 20 week scan. We were devastated at the time and I kept wondering how she would cope. But Everyday she has continued to amaze us by how well she manages with things we often take for granted. She learnt to crawl and walk like any other child and just adapted with what she had. Lacey is a very strong, independent girl that will take on anything as challenging as it may be. She has been met with some difficult challenges and as parents so have we. She is a huge lover of animals, especially horses and goes horse riding each week, she has recently started show jumping and has competed at dressage tests. Her future aim is to be in the olympics. She was given a 3D printed prosthetic arm earlier this year by team unlimbited which unfortunately wasn’t suitable for her and she found it very difficult to use. We believe that the Hero Arm would be a much more suitable prosthetic for Lacey that would benefit her greatly and would love to give her the opportunity to have one.

Hero arm is a clinically tested, medically certified and FDA registered 3D printed bionic arm. Each arm is custom built. Special sensors within the hero arm detect muscle movements so you can control the Hero Arm with intuitive life like precision.
