My name is Jacob Boshes, I’m a Life Scout in Troop 156 in Glenview and a senior at Glenbrook South High School. I am fundraising for my Eagle Scout Service Project at The Grove National Historic Landmark in Glenview Illinois. The Grove is a large part of the Glenview community and is visited by school groups, summer camps, and hikers.

My project will renovate the candle making station which is located next to the herb shed. I will be removing the old deteriorating fence, installing a new cedar split rail fence, and building a brick border around the boiling pot used for candle making.

The new cedar split rail fence will enhance The Grove's rustic appeal. The restored candle making station will offer another educational and historical opportunity for visitors. Completing this project will eliminate safety concerns around an incredibly popular exhibit and will help to attract more visitors to the site.

Please Note: All donations received are on behalf of the Glenview Park District. Any funds that remain after the completion of the project will be given to the Beneficiary.
