Hello my name is Tia Moore many of you may know me as Tia Holland , I am a proud mom of three beautiful daughters, a caregiver to my loving parents and I’ve worked for 20yrs as a ophthalmic technician I’ve always been the one supporting and caring for others however unexpectedly my family and I are the ones in need of support. On June 2, 2025, our lives changed forever. My eldest daughter, only 24 years old, was struck by a drunk driver in a hit-and-run accident while walking across the street. Thanks to a courageous citizen who stopped and detained the driver until police arrived, justice is underway—but the damage to my daughter is currently looking to be irreversible. She is now paralyzed from the lower chest down & requires 24-hour total care, which I provide as her full-time caregiver.
To care for her, I’ve had to take an unpaid Leave of Absence from my 20-year career as an Ophthalmic Technician. This has left our family facing immense financial strain. On top of my daughter’s needs, I’m also caring for my parents, who have been married for almost 50 years & are both dealing with serious health issues. At the same time, I’m supporting my middle daughter who’s a senior in college & my youngest, who is in her senior year of high school.
Between medical supplies not fully covered by insurance, college tuition, senior year expenses, mortgage, car costs, and daily living expenses, the financial burden has become overwhelming.
We are setting a fundraising goal of $50,000 to help cover:
Medical supplies & specialized equipment for my daughter’s care
Household expenses while I’m unable to work
College tuition for my middle daughter
High school senior year costs for my youngest
Ongoing care for my aging parents
Every single contribution, no matter the size, will directly support my family during this unimaginably difficult time. If you aren’t able to donate, a prayer or even simply sharing this page with others means the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us continue forward with hope. All prayers are greatly appreciated.
