Henry’s bucket list
Donation protected
Henry is my best friend’s little boy who is battling an aggressive form of brain tumour for the second time in his short life. He was first diagnosed at the age of two, went into remission at age three and then spent the next 21 months enjoying the life he missed out on.
Devastatingly, in July 2023 his cancer relapsed. His survival prognosis was a mere 5-7% at that point but now six months on, one of the tumours has never shown to respond positively to treatment and has only increased in size at each scan.
Time is what he and his family hope for now. Time to make special memories with him that his mummy, sister and brother will be able to keep as core memories of their brother and son.
Most five year olds don’t need to have a ‘bucket list’ as they have their whole lives ahead of them. Sadly, Henry does not and so I am running a half marathon in order to raise as much money as possible to help gorgeous little Henry and his family tick off as many items from that bucket list whilst he still has time and is well enough.
