Hello,

We have started a fundraising page for our beautiful growing boy Hendrix and the family.

Hendrix is our little miracle boy, who was born prematurely due to twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). This is a rare pregnancy condition affecting identical twins. TTTS occurs in pregnancies where twins share one placenta (afterbirth) and a network of blood vessels that supply oxygen and nutrients essential for development in the womb.

Sometimes the vessel connections within the placenta are not evenly dispensed and there is an imbalance in the blood exchange between the twins. One twin — the donor twin (Hendrix) gives away more blood than it receives in return and runs the risk of malnourishment and organ failure.

As result our sweet boy has, quadriplegic cerebral palsy, severe global development delay, epilepsy and cortical vision impairment. This sweet little man is due to several surgical procedures such as; getting his spinal cord detethering, growing rods inserted and hip surgery.

Hendrix will forever need help with assisted living 24/7, at the moment one of his biggest barriers is travel for Hendrix. Which then impacts not only his every day life such as getting to appointments and school but his social well-being to be able to interact with the wider community.

This fundraiser will help with Quality of life for him, his parents and carers. This will help Hendrix travel safer, as he is forever growing he no longer fits in a car seat. No matter how large or small in donations everything is appreciated to help improve Hendrix life.
