Donate to Help Evacuate Shayma's Family

We are the sisters Shayma and Asmaa Nassar. We are currently in Egypt. We are trying to help our family by working on sharing this fundraiser to help our mother, siblings, and their families evacuate Gaza as the war is still going on, and we literally lost everything, including our apartments, our businesses and our family home.

Here is a message from my sister Asmaa:

After enduring every detail and bitterness of the war on Gaza for four months, I experienced displacement, moving from one place to another, leaving behind my destroyed home and workplace. Although I physically left Gaza, my heart remains there with my family, constantly exposed to the threat of death.

My name is Asmaa Nassar, from Gaza City. Before the onset of the conflict, I owned the largest studio in the Gaza Strip, where I captured the beauty of life in the region and documented moments of joy. However, since October 7th, everything changed. My livelihood, my home, and my family's residence were all obliterated.

Recognizing my family's right to a dignified life, I decided to establish a donation link to reunite with them here in Egypt.

Currently, my family resides in displacement camps in Rafah, enduring the harsh conditions of makeshift tents devoid of life's essentials.

My family comprises my 65-year-old mother, who requires medications currently unavailable and specialized care, including physical therapy sessions.

My brother Ahmed, aged 38, and his wife Alaa, are parents to four children: Awni, Abdullah, Daniel, and Mohammed. Despite their dreams and aspirations, their education has been disrupted, leaving them with uncertain futures.

My brother Mohannad, aged 30, and his wife Mariam, are struggling to provide for their infant daughter, who has spent most of her life in a displacement tent, lacking even the most basic necessities.

It's pertinent to note that my brother Mohannad has special needs, necessitating extra attention due to his health condition.

Additionally, my brother Mohammed, aged 24, lost his entire business during the conflict. He once operated a venue for filming weddings and events on Gaza's coastline, which is now reduced to rubble.

Similarly, my brother Abdul Rahman, aged 20, has yet to complete his education and seeks opportunities beyond Gaza.

While my family cherishes life's simplicity, they are currently denied the fundamental right to live in peace and security. Their only chance at a fresh start lies in relocating to Egypt, where each member requires $5000 US for adults and $2500 US for children to begin anew.

We appeal to your generosity to help them embark on this journey toward a better life.

A message from the organizer of the campaign:

My name is Bessan Khalaf. I am Asmaa's sister-in-law, and I live in Canada, so I am trying to help her organize this fundraiser.

The collected funds will be utilized to cover the costs of reserving and organizing transportation across the Gaza-Egypt border. These arrangements will be managed with a reliable third-party entity known as Hala.

Once the funds are obtained, they will be transmitted through Western Union to Asmaa, enabling her to complete the necessary reservations and depart Gaza securely.

For total transparency, here is how the money will be used:

We have seven adults and five children.

Seven adults need 35000 USD

Five children need 12500 USD

Total is 47500 USD

We are asking for 70000 CAD, as the donation link is in Canadian currency, plus the transfer fees through Western Union.

بعد 4 شهور عشتها بكل تفاصيلها ومرارها في الحرب على غزة

4 شهور من النزوح من مكان لآخر تاركة منزلي ومكان عملي بعد ماتم تدميرهم بشكل كامل تركت قطاع غزة جسداً ولكن روحي مازالت هناك عند عائلتي المعرضة للموت في اي لحظة.

انا اسماء نصار من مدينة غزة قبل بداية الحرب كن امتلك اكبر ستوديو في قطاع غزة اوثق من خلاله الحياة الجميلة في القطاع ، واوثق اجواء الفرح بكل مكان ولكن بعد السابع من اكتوبر تغيرت الحياة تدمر مشروعي ومنزلي ومنزل عائلتي .

، لأهلي الحق ايضاً في الحياة فقررت انشاء رابط تبرعات حتى اجتمع بعائلتي هنا في مصر.

أهلي الآن في مخيمات النزوح في رفح في خيمة تفتقر لكل مقومات الحياة.

عائلتي تتكون من امي 65 عاماً تحتاج الي ادوية غير متوفرة حالياً وتحتاج الي عناية خاصة وجلسات علاج طبيعي.

اخي احمد 38 عاما وزوجته الاء ولديه 4 اطفال

عوني /عبدالله/ دانيال/ محمد كلهم كان يدرسون في المدرسة ولكن حالياً الجميع توقف عن الدراسة كلهم اطفال كانت لديهم احلام جميلة ولكن لم يعد لديهم شيء.

اخي مهند 30 عاماً وزوجته مريم ولديه طفلة لم تكمل العام بعد عاشت معظم حياتها في خيمة النزوح مفتقرة الي ابسط احتياجاتها كطفلة رضيعة من حليب وبامبرز وطعام

مع العلم ان اخي مهند من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة ويحتاج الي عناية خاصة بسبب وضعه الصحي.

اخي محمد 24 عام فقد مشروعه بالكامل من خلال الحرب فقد كان يمتلك مكان خاص لتصوير الافراح والمناسبات على شاطئ بحر غزة ولكن تم تفجير المكان بالكامل .

اخي عبد الرحمن 20 عام لم يكمل دراسته بعد وهو بحاجة للخروج من القطاع لاكمال مسيرته التعليمية.

اهلي عائلة بسيطة تحب الحياة ولكنهم حالياً محرومين من ابسط حقوقهم في العيش بامان وسلام والخيار الوحيد ليبدؤوا حياة جديدة بامان هي من خلال سفرهم الي مصر حيث كل شخص منهم يحتاج الي 5000$ للبالغين و الأطفال 2500$ للخروج الي مصر وبداية حياة جديدة.
