Dearest Family, Friends, and Community,
Last week, we discovered an attic leak that spread mold throughout our HVAC system. Once it was uncovered, we were advised to leave our home, within 72 hours, so remediation could begin. This made our home uninhabitable and left us with the reality of losing nearly all our family’s furnishings and essentials. In many ways, we are starting completely over – think anything that has fabric in your home (mattresses, bedding, stuffies, rugs, chairs, etc.…) and that is what we had to leave behind, except for our clothing that must be rigorously washed and sanitized, after we purchase a new washer and dryer. What remains is very little — essentially just what could be safely cleaned in a short amount of time.

This unexpected season has also brought a new chapter for our family. We have been blessed to live out our dream of raising livestock and practicing regenerative farming — caring for the land, raising cattle, milking cows, raising chickens, and teaching our children the beauty of homesteading life for these last five years. Because we lease our land, and because of the damage to our home, we now face the enormous challenge of relocating both our family of seven and our animals…
We will be relocating to Godley, Texas, to be closer to precious family as we start anew. While the losses are vast and humbling, we remain rooted in hope and ground by our faith. We know that God has not left us nor forsaken us, and we trust His promise: “And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Many of you have asked how you can help. First and foremost, we ask for your prayers as we walk through this season of transition. If you feel led to give toward helping us replace these essentials and establish our family’s new home, we are deeply grateful. Every gift, every prayer, and every word of encouragement is a reminder of God’s provision through His people! We pray the Lord's abundant blessings over you and stay tuned -- because God gets all the glory for how this story unfolds!
With deep love and gratitude,
Christopher & Brittney Reese
