Help Miguel and his brother

Miguel is a 17-year old Mexican migrant from Chiapas, México who came to the U.S as an unaccompanied child and despite child labor laws, has since then been working for Darigold to help pay rent and support his family back home.

Miguel was recently severely hurt on the job and hasn't been able to receive the medical attention he needs. Both Miguel and his brother need all the help they can get as they lack access to a bank account, livable wages, worker's protections, healthcare, and legal support.

This fundraiser was created and is managed by community leaders + activists Chelsea Dimas and Vicky Frausto, both from Sunnyside as well.

ALL proceeds will go directly to Miguel and his brother.

Miguel es un migrante mexicano de 17 años de Chiapas, México, que llegó a los EE. UU. siendo un menor. A pesar de las leyes sobre trabajo infantil, el ha estado trabajando para Darigold aquí en Sunnyside para ayudar a pagar el alquiler y mantener a su familia en casa.

Miguel recientemente resultó gravemente herido en el trabajo y no ha podido recibir la atención médica que necesita. Tanto Miguel como su hermano necesitan toda la ayuda que puedan obtener, ya que carecen de acceso a una cuenta bancaria, salarios dignos, protección laboral, atención médica y apoyo legal.
